This is the Dutch-language edition. Hive is played with 2 players and the goal of the game is to completely surround your opponent's queen bee. The pieces are different insects that all move in their own way. For example, the grasshopper may jump in a straight line to the first free space, the ant can walk any distance and the beetle moves 1 step or climbs on top of another piece. Each turn you may place a piece into the game or move a piece that is already there.
This is the pocket version, which travels with you easily!
A game of Hive takes about 30 minutes on average. The Hive pieces are made of durable plastic and come in a nice cloth bag. That means you can take Hive anywhere: the beach, the pub, on holiday, and so on. Hive offers a challenge for everyone. A plan alone is not enough in Hive, you also need to react well to your opponent. That is what makes Hive suitable for everyone. In short: everyone should own this classic in the making.
